Carrillo Recreation Center

Santa Barbara, CA

Designated as a City of Santa Barbara Registered Landmark, this historically significant building was originally constructed in 1914 and has a 1925 addition designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan. Working on the team with KBZ Architects, AE Group designed new plumbing and HVAC systems including ADA upgrades. The project received a LEED Silver rating.

Ventura County Government Center

AE Group has provided mechanical engineering services to the County of Ventura for many years at most of their facilities including the County Government Center, which consists of the Hall of Administration, the Hall of Justice, the Pre-Trial Detention Facility, and the General Services Agency headquarters and facilities.

Ventura City Hall

AE Group Mechanical Engineers has designed modernized HVAC systems for the historic Ventura City Hall, including new chillers, air handlers, and improvements to air distribution and controls. AE Group has also provided mechanical engineering services at other City facilities including the Police-Fire headquarters, the Wastewater Reclamation Laboratory, and a number of park facilities.

Todd Road Jail

AE Group Mechanical Engineers has provided mechanical engineering services at the Todd Road Jail for many years, including the preparation of a mechanical systems master plan. Projects include replacement and modernization of HVAC equipment, chillers, cooling towers, water heating systems, steam boiler systems, vacuum waste systems, and plumbing systems. AE Group has also provided engineering services at the other County detention facilities including the Pre-Trial Detention Facility, East County Sheriff’s Station, and the Juvenile Justice Center.

Santa Barbara Fire Station #1

On the team with KBZ Architects, AE Group designed new HVAC and plumbing systems as part of a major modernization of the City of Santa Barbara fire station. AE Group has also provided engineering services for other City facilities including the Los Banos Pool and the Westside Community Center. In addition, we’ve worked on fire stations in Montecito and in Ventura County.

Montecito Fire Station

Working with KBZ Architects, AE Group provided the mechanical engineering services for the Montecito Fire Station and headquarters. AE Group has also worked on fire station projects in the City of Ventura, the City of Santa Barbara, and at a number of Ventura County Fire Department locations.

Santa Paula Mill and Depot

Working on the team with KBZ Architects, AE Group developed mechanical plans for the rehabilitation of the historic Santa Paula Mill and Depot buildings, maintaining the historical architectural values.

Ventura County Juvenile Justice Facility

AE Group Mechanical Engineers has provided mechanical engineering services for the County of Ventura at many County facilities. At the Juvenile Justice Center, AE Group designed modernized systems for domestic hot water, space heating boilers, chillers, hydronic system pumps, and cooling towers.
